Adult Mental Health First Aid – Hallettsville, June 28

This course is being taught as a hybrid.  The first two hours of course work are completed online, asynchronously in the two weeks prior to the class. Please pre-register by June 16, 2023 so to that class work may be assigned and completed in time.

Mental Health First Aid was designed to extend the concept of first aid training to mental health and substance abuse challenges.  Mental Health First Aiders Learn:

• to recognize the signs and symptoms of potential mental health and substance abuse challenges
• how to listen non-judgmentally
• give reassurance
• how to refer to the individual to appropriate resources
